AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITYEmbry Riddle Aeronautical University It's the year 2050 and you are reflecting back on your accomplishments, what do you feel is your greatest achievement? I believe that I have made many great accomplishments in my life but my greatest achievement is supporting myself, my wife and my three kids for the past thirty-eight years. I grew up watching my father and mother support my two sisters and I. I never heard them talk about where they were going to get the money for next months rent or whether they could afford to buy me the five-dollar G.I. Joe action figure from the toy store. I wanted to provide my family with the same comforts my father had provided for my sister and I. My father worked very long days and my mother stayed home and took care of us. I wanted to make sure that my wife would not have to work if she did not want to. I worked very hard to get through high school, dreaming that one day I would be able to travel the world flying my own airplane. I got in to my first choice college, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and graduated four years later with my Bachelor in Aerospace Science. I found the perfect job for me working as an airline pilot for United Airlines. I met my beautiful wife in 2009. She was as airline stewardess for my company. We worked together for many years and were married in 2012. She left her job and became a full time mom when we had our first little girl. I continued working through two more births while my wife stayed home to take care of our kids. I made enough to support my whole family and live comfortably in a big house in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am retired now and my wife and I are living alone. I have put all three of my children through good colleges and they are now making money of their own. My wife and I have the luxury of playing golf everyday and I could not have asked for a better life. |
